And a strait-on shot. |
I was really excited today to get a package in the mail full of all the manga I’ve been lusting after for 2.5 months since I left Japan. I thought I’d share some pictures here, so you can experience some of my sparkly-sparkly euphoria second hand
I can’t really decide where to start! The two I’m most excited about are The Hana to Yume, in the top right corner, which is a special edition featuring ~20 one-shots all with the theme of the month, “Age-Gap Romance” !!! and two books to the left of it is a novel called “Lonely Combat,” basically it’s a Japanese version of the book “Lolita,” this one features a middle school teacher in his 40s who’s obsessed with one of his students. On the back it says in English “Lolita yes, touch no!” lmao. Should be interesting.
I also took a picture of this flower. I’ve been seeing it a lot lately and thought it looks quite a bit like the blue daisy on the covers of most volumes of Dengeki Daisy. I’m pretty sure it’s not actually the same species of flower, but it is beautiful. Interestingly, these flowers only seem to grow in really… broken? places. Underneath bridges, in really run down parts of the city, or in between cracks in the sidewalk. This picture is of a clump of these flowers that grew in the lot of an abandoned building in a pretty dangerous part of the city near where I work. The flower that blooms in adversity is the most beautiful of all?
